I was thrilled when Jessica asked me to shoot her wedding. I shot her sisters quinceanera years before and I had so much fun at their party. It was awesome to see their mother Patty too since it had been so long. It was a beautiful October day, not too hot, not too cold, and I was thrilled for the day to come. We started the day at the mission inn (shhh my hobby is getting kicked out of the mission inn) in Riverside. I love all of the weddings I have shot at the mission inn but I know that venue is on the pricier side. A hack around that is if you get dressed and ready there the possibility of getting photos there is higher, until you get kicked out of course lol. As usual my bride was running a bit behind as always, there are so many things to do at a wedding and chaos ensued.

Once she started getting dressed and ready I knew I would love all of the photos. Her beautiful wedding dress was so flattering and her bridal bouquet was absolutely stunning and cascaded gorgeously. It filled me with so much joy. Even though she didn’t have her wedding at the Mission Inn we took plenty of bridal and groom portraits at the mission inn. We started with Jessica all over the hotel grounds. Afterwards we shot the groom Manny with his boys at the Mission Inn. They looked handsome in their tan suits that matched the floral decor. Jessica and Manny were sooo sweet with each other when they finally got to see each other and were such sweethearts to shoot. You could see how much they missed each other from just a few short hours apart.

After the pre-creative formals we left to the ceremony site which was only a few minutes away. The ceremony was beautiful and took place in a quaint little chapel called My Love Weddings down the street from the Mission Inn. The actual ceremony was quick but super sweet and simple. After that we went back to the Mission Inn to shoot more creative artistic wedding photographs. Unfortunately we weren’t allowed inside this time around but shot all around the grounds in downtown Riverside around the Mission Inn. We got some spectacular photos of the bride and groom. After these photos we went back to Jessica’s mothers home for a covid friendly reception of just the closest friends and family.

The details for this beautiful backyard wedding were unbelievable. Jessica being a makeup artist has immaculate taste. Vivid greens, whites, burnt oranges, and whites filled every table. It was absolutely beautiful. The florals were provided by Vanessa and Cesar from The Vintage Vine Events so big shoutout to their team. The food was also immaculate from horderves ranging from delicious charcuterie, ceviche cups, and gourmet sandwiches. All of the catering was super high end and provided by a family friend which made it even more amazing. We didn’t get to stay long enough for most of the formalities but it was truly a gorgeous wedding and one I will never forget. It was such a lovely day with a beautiful couple and my team and I  had such a blast.

Thank you to everyone who made this wedding possible in such unpredictable times. Shoutout to my assistant Noah for always being such a hard worker and good sport about everything. A big thank you to Patty, Jessica’s mom, for holding the reception at her lovely home. Thank you to family and friends who catered and made the cake. Thank you to The Vintage Vine Events for providing florals and linens. Thank you to David’s bridal for the bride’s beyond gorgeous dress. Thank you to the Mission Inn for allowing us to shoot before kicking us out lol. And the BIGGEST thank you to Jessica and Emmanuel for letting me take beautiful pictures of their wedding day and I hope to shoot them and their family for years to come.
