The kind of love that makes your heart do cartwheels, your face hurt from smiling, and your life feel a little louder and brighter. I believe in compassion, beauty, and art that actually does something — the kind that lifts you up, makes you feel seen, and reminds you who you are.

When I’m not photographing life’s biggest moments, I’m probably nerding out over my collection of vintage tin robots, listening to Mississippi Delta blues, or watching movies on DVDs (yes, DVDs — they make me irrationally happy). And if you ever ride shotgun with me, fair warning: I drive like a maniac. It’s part of the experience.

My journey hasn’t been picture-perfect — and honestly, that’s why I’m good at what I do. I’ve struggled with my weight most of my life, and a few years ago I made the life-changing decision to have bariatric surgery. That experience reshaped how I see myself, my body, and the people I photograph. It’s also why I’m passionate about creating images where every body feels confident, powerful, and beautiful — especially my plus-size clients.

Photography has been my calling for over 30 years (which feels wild to type), and I’ve spent more than two decades mentoring other photographers. I’ve photographed weddings, families, babies, seniors, quinceañeras, boudoir, corporate events — and everything in between. What never changes is how I approach it: with empathy, humor, and a deep respect for your story.

I don’t believe in stiff posing, awkward smiles, or pretending to be someone you’re not. I believe in real connection, great light, and making photos that feel like you — just a little more magical.
