MY STORY
I’ve been holding a camera in my hands since I was little. My father was a hobbyist photographer, and I still remember holding his Canon AE-1 in complete wonder and fascination. I originally went to school for fine arts and English literature before ultimately following what truly pulled at me most — photography.
I’ve been shooting professionally for nearly 30 years and have been featured in books, magazines, blogs, wedding shows, and award publications including The Knot, Gay Weddings & Marriage Magazine, Borrowed & Blue, Rock N Roll Bride, A Touch of Modern, Dream Weddings, Bridezillas, and more. Beyond photographing weddings, I’ve also mentored photographers over the years, teaching photography, posing, lighting, and Photoshop to help others grow within the industry.

why i'm an expert in plus size and full figure weddings
my story
I’ve spent most of my life struggling with my weight, body image, and the complicated relationship so many of us have with food and self-confidence. Even after bariatric surgery, I still understand what it feels like to look at yourself critically, to worry about angles, arms, posture, or whether a photograph will truly feel like “you.” That personal journey is a huge part of why I became so passionate about photographing plus size and curvy brides differently.
For years, I looked through wedding websites seeing the same unrealistic images over and over again, wondering why real women and real bodies were so rarely represented. I wanted to create something different — a wedding photography experience where curvy brides feel safe, understood, beautifully posed, and genuinely celebrated.
Because I’ve lived it myself, I’ve spent much of my career mastering flattering plus size posing, lighting, and artistic retouching techniques that help women feel confident and comfortable in front of the camera. My goal is never to change who you are, but to help you see yourself the way the people who love you already do — beautiful, radiant, and worthy of being fully seen.
