I was so excited that Adriana and Luis still wanted to do an engagement session even though their wedding had just passed. Never too late to shoot an engagement session people HAHA. This couple’s engagement session actually took place AFTER the wedding but was just, if not more, beautiful than a traditional engagement shoot. We took these pictures at Schabarum park in Rowland Heights to capture those lovely rolling fields of tall grass that went perfectly for the look we were trying to achieve. This location also has GORGEOUS wooded areas that look like you’re in the middle of the forest… seriously magical. Adriana wore two different Boho dresses and boots and Luis wore neutral tones to match and make her really pop. The Boho vibe of the shoot PERFECTLY matched their Boho wedding that was super chill and extremely gorgeous. I’m so grateful they chose me to shoot these special moments in their lives. Now I’ve GOTTA talk a little bit about their wedding because it blew me away.

When soulmates get married the whole day feels different. It’s almost like you can feel it in the air. That’s how it felt when this bride and groom got married. On their wedding day Adrianna wore a beautiful open back Boho wedding dress so the theme for their after wedding- engagement shoot totally made sense. Sometimes I walk into a wedding and I think..”YEAH! This is how I would do it!” The music.. was exactly what I like.. the vibe.. the fun! Adriana started off the day at Avenue of the Arts Costa Mesa, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel. She was soooo calm so mellow and completely at peace..with her little pink crystal quartz (which is for love, harmony and helps the heart chakra) attached to her hair piece and pearls draped around her hair…she was the portrait of peace. We then went down and saw Luis and set up for the first look..which was sweet and private. After some cool shots at the Hotel we went to Estate at Second street, which is my favorite venue!! Totally gorgeous place!!!! Brick walls with a vintage shabby flair … they had the most gorgeous Boho gold and pink decor with a custom crochet art piece at the front of their ceremony. The colors were just beautiful and the vibe was so eclectic! The Ceremony was moving. FYI Luis and Adriana took a moment to hold each other close, forehead to forehead, eyes closed, after the kiss and it was soooo moving. High energy Luis was a blast all day.. he laughed and you could not erase the gratitude, happiness, and bliss from his face! After the ceremony Jay’s Catering Company did their thing.. setting up the gorgeous venue and setting up some very hip food stations.. They made beautiful gluten free flatbread with amazing toppings and had a beautiful mac and cheese station!!! YAY my favorite vice! Adriana and Luis also provided amazing gourmet tacos. The night was filled with Jazz/rap music provided by Apollo Bebop! They were awesome! Plus DJ Andy was awesome! Their first dance song was Song of a Lifetime by Ziggy Marley…. very cool! A huge thanks to everyone that made this day possible.. The staff at Jay’s Catering Company was amazing.. the music and catering people.. the Cake girl.. Brown Baby Pastries.. everyone! THANK YOU… and of course the biggest thank you to Luis and Adriana for hiring me for their gorgeous and love filled event!!!
