Brittany and Sean were perfect clients showing up 20 minutes early to their Trabuco Canyon engagement photos. It was a warm day but it was starting to cool off, thank goodness. We started off right off of Trabuco Canyon in a gorgeous driveway with trees that make a beautiful canopy. Then we drove to a location that I have been shooting at for well over 10 years. The Rama Krishna monastery. But for some reason today they decided to lock the gate at 5:30. We literally arrived at 5:32. What this meant was that the normal steep little drive up the hill to the location I normally shoot at was going to have to be walked. Now I’m a huge believer in the law of attraction, but the universe likes to bite me in the ass all the time. So lately I’ve been asking for time to go hiking, not so much time as motivation. Well the universe gave me the motivation today.
We hiked up what I thought would be a very easy small little walk. Not realizing how absolutely steep the walk really was. I’m not in the greatest shape of my life right now, but nothing stops me from shooting where I want to shoot. I felt so bad for poor Sean and Brittany! As I’m sure they were not expecting a hiking trip. But they were such troopers, I’m so proud of them and it was so well worth it, as the lighting is gorgeous in that particular area. So please enjoy Brittany in Sean’s Trabuco Canyon engagement portraits a.k.a. how I almost had a heart attack.
