What a beautiful day for a beautiful wedding. Krisha David and Anna Park made this day so memorable. I don’t think I have laughed this much or had this much fun in so long. My team including myself, my second shooter Noah, and my assistant Maya showed up to my favorite part of Southern California, Downtown Orange on this lovely day. We found my friend Berkenda who was the coordinator for the day and actually referred this couple to me so big shoutout to her. We walked into the chapel of Orange to find Krisha in her dressing room that was packed full of family members asking questions and getting ready for the day. We kicked most of them out so we could have room to shoot our beautiful bride getting ready and details. The flower girls shaked with anticipation and we moved on to shooting the next bride, Anna, who was already dressed and ready inside the chapel and hanging out with her girlfriends. Krisha wore a beautiful white dress that framed her gorgeously and Anna wore a black suit with bedazzled black shoes, totally fun! Both ladies were nervous but were soooo funny and had already been together for over 10 years so this day was long in the making. That’s how you do it right, you save up for the wedding until you can pay for an open bar for everyone HAHAHA! I love supporting and shooting LGBTQ weddings especially ones as beautiful and full of love as this one.

The Chapel of Orange is a beautiful venue and the weather was perfect, a little chilly at night but perfect during the day. Luckily the reception was indoors so it worked out perfectly. The ceremony began as people FLOODED the pews. There were so many guests that the last arrivals had to stand in the back because all the seats were filled! The music fluttered through the air and light rays filled the chapel as Krisha entered and walked towards Anna. Soon enough they were officially married!!!! The reception took place a few feet away and the food was DIVINE. When you’ve been a wedding photographer for as long as I have you get sick of chicken and pasta so when unique food gets served I’m always beyond ecstatic. From prosciutto bruschetta appetizers to a tri tip balsamic dish with an open bar it was classy and amazing. The speeches were emotional as Krisha’s father had passed January of that year and that week was supposed to be her parents’ 42nd wedding anniversary. Her sister could barely make it through the speech without sobbing and it definitely got to me and everyone attending. Even though this family was emotional and loving they also knew how to have a good time! The Dj played party music, R&B, and dance classics as family members crip walked out onto the floor and busted out their best moves. Such a fun group I haven’t had a family with this much energy in a long time and it is always such a blast! They did their money dance and partied into the night as my team packed up to leave. They gave out whole mini bundt cakes as take home favors and they were amazing! It was such a lovely wedding with such a fun couple and I know they have a lifetime full of love ahead of them.
A huge thank you to Chapel of Orange and Berkenda Can for thinking of me for this wedding! Thank you to the videographers, the officiant, and the amazing DJ!
