Ok I know this couple is drop-dead gorgeous with immaculate taste but they are also so sweet and wonderful. Laura has the biggest heart and Luis is so cute and funny. Their family was so much fun and the wedding held at the prestigious Brandview Banquet Hall was so crazy. The church that they chose is one of my favorite churches for weddings in Los Angeles… St Vincent De Paul in Glendale. I am so in love with this wedding and I want to thank Laura and Luis for being so patient with me as I kept pushing and pushing for more photo time.. lol.. THANKS GUYS .. everyone was wonderful and easy going and I love that.
We started the day getting ready at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Los Angeles. It was beautiful and we later shot all around the lobby and different gorgeous spots including a vibrant green couch you can see featured in some of the photos. Laura was getting her hair and makeup done when my crew and I showed up so we shot some of her details including; her Louis Vuitton heels, her HUGE diamond ring, her bouquet of vibrant red roses with jewels in them, her blingy silver teardrop-shaped earrings, one of the prettiest garters I’ve ever seen, her delicate blingy tiara, her intricate diamond bracelet, and her gorgeous A-line open back wedding dress. Her mom helped her get her dress on and we headed out into the halls of the Embassy Suites in Los Angeles to get some high fashion photos and some Bridesmaid group photos. Once we had fun with that we left the girls to have some fun and went to photograph the groomsmen. The guys looked super handsome and all had matching sunglasses. They wore all black and were loving getting their photos taken. We took Luis aside and shot some really nice photos of him outside the Embassy Suites and it was time for the ceremony!
We headed out to St. Vincent De Paul church for the ceremony which, if you’ve been following me for a while, you know is one of my favorite churches to take photos at. It has beautiful high ceilings with ornate religious emblems everywhere. You can see in the photos exactly what I’m talking about but to capture it you really have to see it in person. Laura and Luis had a traditional Catholic ceremony and once they kissed it was official! When the ceremony was over we were allowed to take some photos in the church and their bridal party was huge! One of the largest I’ve ever seen. But they were super patient and let me do my thing which I always appreciate. We took some beautiful pictures of the couple, by themselves, in and around St.Vincent de Paul church.
Afterward, we headed out to Brandview Banquet Hall for the reception. I immediately spotted their wedding cake because it was a traditional white wedding cake facing outwards, but in the back of the cake were all of their favorite superheroes including Captain America, spiderman, batman, and Iron man. It was a really unique way to show their interests but still keep everything luxurious from the outside. I shot some photos of the cake, table settings, florals, and some guests. The couple did their grand entrance which led to a stunning first dance while they spun around in mist on the dance floor. They did their bouquet toss, garter toss, cake cutting, and then it was party time! Laura and Luis wanted to get as many pictures as possible with all their guests and they had a lot of guests so we spent a while doing that. It was a really fun night for everyone as the guests and the couple danced all night. They really knew how to party. The Brandview Banquet Hall and Ballroom was also super luxurious and a beautiful venue. It was perfect for a wedding with so many guests.
I would like to give a HUGE thank you to everyone who made this day possible from flowers to the cake to the music. The staff was super helpful and sweet all day and my crew was helpful as always. Ryan assisted me with this wedding and is always a sweetheart! The Church St. Vincent De Paul is a church I always recommend in the Los Angeles area because it’s absolutely stunning. Not to mention the Brandview Ballroom and Banquet Hall which is soooo glamorous. Everything about this wedding and this couple was immaculate. A big thank you to the fabulous Laura and Luis who were very patient with me on their stressful hectic day and I’m endlessly grateful to have them as clients.
