When it comes to planning a wedding, one of the most important decisions you’ll make is choosing the right wedding venue. Your wedding venue sets the tone for your entire wedding day, so it’s important to find a location that fits your style, budget, and vision for your special day. Here are some tips for finding the right wedding venue:
1. Determine your wedding style
Before you start searching for wedding venues, it’s important to determine the style and vibe you want for your wedding day. Do you want a formal, elegant wedding, or a more relaxed and casual affair? Are you looking for a rustic barn wedding or a modern, industrial venue? Once you have a clear idea of your wedding style, you can start narrowing down your search to venues that fit that style. Obviously you don’t want to rent a venue like the one above the Taglyan in los angeles  if your wedding is country themed. Look for the right venue to match your theme or style.
2. Set your budget
Your wedding venue is likely to be one of the biggest expenses of your wedding day, so it’s important to set a realistic budget and stick to it. Before you start searching for venues, determine how much you’re willing to spend on your wedding venue and factor in any additional costs, such as catering, decor, and rentals.

3. Consider your guest list
The size of your guest list will also play a big role in determining the right wedding venue. You want to choose a venue that can comfortably accommodate all of your guests without feeling overcrowded. Make sure to consider not only the capacity of the venue, but also the layout and flow of the space. One thing that so many people forget is whether there is plenty of access for older guests such as grandparents. Also, can older guests make the drive. I have too often seen couples plan small get away weddings that are tucked hours and hours away from into a mountainside or hill that is difficult for older guests to drive to. Keep in mind if you have grandparents coming, how long can they stay in a car and what is the terrain like when they arrive. Do you have guests that have wheelchairs. These are other considerations that you should take into account when looking for the perfect venue. Also keep into consideration that they farther you have your wedding from the largest concentration of your guests, the less likely they are to show up. So keep your wedding venue convenient for your important friends and family. I know that epic views and seascapes can be gorgeous backdrops for your wedding.. but you may be there alone enjoying them without many guests.

4. Think about logistics and parking
The location of your wedding venue is also an important factor to consider…with that are logistics.   If you’re getting married in a city or urban area, make sure to consider parking and transportation options for your guests. Does the venue offer valet? Will you need to bus in your guests or is there ample parking. Many venues that have problematic parking situations will also have solutions so make sure to ask when visiting. Is there an additional charge for your guests, who will be paying for parking? These are questions to keep in consideration.
5. Schedule site visits
Once you’ve narrowed down your list of potential wedding venues, it’s important to schedule site visits to see the venues in person. This will give you a better idea of the layout, ambiance, and overall feel of the space. Make sure to ask plenty of questions and take notes during your site visits to help you make an informed decision.
6. Consider venue amenities
When choosing a wedding venue, it’s important to consider the amenities that are included with the space. Does the venue provide tables, chairs, and linens, or will you need to rent those separately? Are there on-site catering options, or will you need to bring in outside vendors? Make sure to factor in these additional costs when budgeting for your wedding venue. Ask for a breakdown of possible additional costs.. many venues charge extra for wait staff, cake cutting, bar tenders and valet. Ask for a list of all possible additional costs so that you are not surprised after the wedding with a big shocking bill. If you are fastidious you may be ok with venues that don’t offer many amenities. If you are a person who easily stresses consider finding a venue that has packages that are all in one or mostly all in one.
7. Read reviews and ask for recommendations
Before making a final decision on your wedding venue, make sure to read reviews from other couples who have gotten married at the venue. This can give you valuable insights into the pros and cons of each venue and help you make an informed decision. You can also ask for recommendations from friends, family members, or your wedding planner to help you find the right venue.

In addition to these tips, there are also a few common mistakes to avoid when choosing a wedding venue. Here are some things to keep in mind:
Don’t choose a venue based on photos alone. While online photos can give you a good idea of the look and feel of a venue, it’s important to see the space in person before making a final decision.
Don’t forget about the logistics. Make sure to consider parking, transportation, and other logistics when choosing a wedding venue.
Don’t forget to ask about restrictions. Some wedding venues have restrictions on things like decor, sparkler exits, catering, and alcohol, so make sure to ask about any restrictions before signing a contract.
Don’t rush your decision. Choosing a wedding venue is a big decision, so take your time and make sure to do your research before making a final decision
