Why do a first look? There are many reason why couples may want to do a first look.

First of all, some couples want to have a sunset ceremony but still want beautiful images taken when the sun is in the sky . If you have a sunset ceremony your creative formal photographs would normally be taken at night when the sky is well below the horizon line.. but if you do a first look we can take all of your photos before the ceremony and you would still have daylight in your photos which looks gorgeous.

Some couples want to enjoy more time with their guest and opt to take their photos before hand so that they can have more time for friends and family.

Some couples feel that they would be an emotional mess or too nervous to watch their love walk down the isle and forego the tradition by doing a first look. Getting to really let out your tears in private can be more comfortable for some couples.

Being able to hug, kiss, touch and talk to your love when you see them for the first time. It can seem awkward to watch the love of your life walk down the aisle and not get to give them a big hug and kiss. By doing a first look you can kiss, hug, cry, laugh and everything else in private without everyone looking.

I know breaking tradition can be difficult but sometimes it’s the best option. Keep it in mind it means you get more photos of the two of you together and that’s always a good thing!
