Little Baby Bradley comes in for his Newborn photos

Little baby Bradley Bruce came in a for his newborn photos and his 6 month session soon after! It’s so special and rare to get parents to come in and capture every early milestone so this was truly a treat. Bradley was born on 8/16/21 at 1:33 pm weighing 9 lbs and 1 oz at about 21 inches long.

I have been shooting every one of my cousin Irene’s children and every one has been such a dream to shoot. They might start out a little fussy but they usually knock out pretty soon into it and I never have a problem afterwards. I, of course, treasure all of my clients and take delicate work with their photography but nothing is as special to me as family. When I shoot family I truly get to open my heart and soul and they always let me do whatever I want and some families aren’t as open to my creative process. I love my cousin and her kids hold a special place in my heart. I’m thinking she’ll be done after this one, since it’s her third but who knows at this point LOL. I can’t wait to watch her sons grow up and be able to capture that forever.

A big shout out to Irene for booking me and booking me early enough after he was born to get some amazing photos. The sooner, the better for newborn shoots so the babies can get milk drunk and sleep through the whole shoot. This means they can also do the more complex poses and aren’t as fussy as, say, a ten-day-old baby. And of course, a big thank you to baby Bradley who was adorable and an absolute pleasure to shoot. I can’t wait to shoot their family portraits for years to come and it’s such an honor to be able to provide these special memories for my family.

Before booking our parents fill out a questionnaire with what colors, props, and anything else they might be interested in for their newborn shoot. I mean, I am an extensively published, award-winning photographer so how else would I do it. It isn’t easy being the best photographer in LA. My cousin picked out lots of blues, grays, and greens, and of course, incorporating their whole family’s love of baseball.
