Irvine Regional Park Graduation Photoshoot

Not only was it amazing to catch up with one of my oldest friends from my childhood I also got to photograph her beautiful girls. It was fun seeing everyone and catching up. The girls are sooo grown-up… makes me feel old! Jasmine attended La Sierra University and adored it. Jasmin is planning on teaching with her degree and her mom Lilia is one of my favorite people on Earth.

We started taking photos on a beautiful sunny day at Irvine Regional Park. Jasmine is a gorgeous and fierce Latina who is gonna make an amazing teacher. She wore a black dress with ruffled sleeves that looked amazing on her. She also brought her navy blue graduation robe, sash, and tassel which all matched. Her sash had La Sierra University on it and the quote “Change your world” which was really cool. Her beautiful family also wanted to hop in for a few photos and I was more than happy to do so.

Jasmine was a natural in front of the camera and shooting her family was super easy. Her mom and dad were making me laugh the whole time and I know Jasmine is gonna do great things in the world.

Her sister and parents all wore color-coordinated outfits that were not too matchy which always comes out looking the best. They look cohesive and like a family but not too cheesy. It’s perfect for family portraits. They even had matching gold bracelets with the word “chingona” engraved on them and I’m ALL about chingona pride. Chingona is a word in the Latina community that used to be a slur used to oppress women and over the years of reclaiming and hard work, we Latinas have changed it to mean a bad-ass Latina woman. Chingonas are fierce, strong, intelligent, and capable and there’s nothing wrong with being a bad-ass chingona.Congrats to another beautiful, brilliant Latina with her degree!!!
