It was really nice shooting at the Ole Hanson Beach Club again.. it had been a couple of months since I had been there last. And what better reunion to this venue than with this super fun couple.. Alissa and Greg! We started the day at Volare Hotel in San Clemente which by the way I TOTALLY RECOMMEND.. check out the light blue decor hotel photos in the gallery! Alissa’s makeup was also super stunning and really made her hazel eyes pop. And her platinum blonde hair is just wow. After Alissa’s hair and makeup were done we made sure the rest of her bridal party was ready and took some really cute group photos in their matching Japanese-style robes. She had some of her nieces in her bridal party too and they were just adorable. We did some pillow fight photos and some standard group photos and got Alissa in her dress. Her dress was dripping in pearls and had a cross cutout on the side that made her silhouette look amazing. She even had a silver pearl hair piece that was super pretty and dainty that matched with her silver chain bracelet. She even had classic white silk heels that we took individual photos of, as well as her and Greg’s rings. Her ring was a gold band with a silver diamond in the middle and Greg’s was a classic silver band. Once we finished taking some photos of just Alissa in the Volare Hotel we got her bridesmaids in for some photos. They all looked super cute and their blue dresses literally matched the Volare Hotel’s theme isn’t that crazy. I wonder if Alissa planned that or if it was just a coincidence lol.
We got some really cool balcony shots with the bridesmaids looking down at us from below and then it was time to shoot the boys. They were of course hilarious and so awkward but in a good way. I had to beg them to do some serious photos because they just wanted to be silly and grab each other’s butts LOL. But I hope they’ll be glad they got some normal photos in the future. I brought Greg out to take some individual photos and his tie was bright blue to match the bridesmaid dresses. He had gorgeous eyes too, just like his bride.
Afterward, we went right into the ceremony overlooking the ocean in front of the main Ole Hanson building. There was a man playing acoustic guitar and music floated through the air. The day was not too hot with a light coastal breeze. The parents and grandparents walked down following the Bridal party that walked in pairs. Alissa was escorted down the aisle by her father in a grey tuxedo. They read their vows and both Alissa and Greg cried their eyes out. It was a very short and sweet ceremony. They had their first kiss as a married couple in front of the beautiful ocean seascape at the Ole Hanson Beach Club and it was official! They walked down the aisle as husband and wife and gleamed with joy.
After the ceremony, we shot photos of the married couple with their family and friends. Then we shot their entire bridal party which, as you can see, was huge, but we made it work. After having some fun with the whole group we took Alissa and Greg around the Ole Hanson Beach Club for pictures of just the two of them. They were totally ready and we got some really cute pictures. They looked so happy all day and their friends were super down for anything. Anytime I wanted to take them aside for photos they were always ready which is really helpful for any photographer. We shot some of the creative formals and then went into reception and took 15 minutes out of the day to shoot some sunset photos at the shore which you guys know are my favorites! Afterward, their Bridal party and the couple did a huge coordinated grand entrance and their families gave some really funny and sweet speeches.
Before we knew it it was time to cut the cake! They had adorable cake toppers that had their favorite hobbies on them including a sword, video games, and books. So cute! Their cake was only one tier but they had a whole dessert bar to make up for it! After some dancing, the DJ announced it was time for the bouquet toss and the girls fought like crazy for it. Naturally, the garter toss came after and Greg did some stretches before tackling the garter lol. After they tossed it they went into their first dance. It was super sweet. They danced the night away and my crew and I had to say goodbye.
