An Enchanting Wedding at Vellano Estate Chino Hills | Wedgewood Weddings | Verenice and Marco

Have you ever attended a wedding that you thought somehow reminded you of fine art. It dripped with chiaroscuro…. This is typical of a Renaissance art pieces that range from Moody dark strong contrast between the light and the dark. This wedding was my beautiful Renaissance painting.

I have known Verenice for a little while as she was the maid of honor in her twin sister’s wedding. So when she contacted me and asked me to shoot her wedding, I was absolutely thrilled. When she came to meet with me with her fiance Marco I found out a little tidbit of news that delighted me. At the time when I met them, they had only been together for a few months. They had known each other and had worked together for a while but they had only been dating for a few months. I remember them telling me that “when you know, you know.” This is what I would tell everyone after I met Josh and we got engaged immediately.

I get the whole soulmate thing and maybe a lot of people don’t understand that and maybe a lot of people thought they were crazy but I get it because I’m with my soulmate.
They were so at ease with each other and so sweet that I couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding and engagement.
We shot their engagement at Irvine Regional Park, and the images were stunning. They were so at ease with each other, so comfortable and passionate that the image is oozed with love…

Their wedding was just as easy and beautiful as they are.
We started the day off at Aveda and Marco’s new home in Chino. It was really easy to do her getting ready photos there because there wasn’t very much furniture and so there was plenty of space to play.

Afterward, we went straight to the ceremony location which was held at the most beautiful Church in my opinion in Southern California. It was held at Saint Dennis Catholic Church in Diamond Bar. When I tell you that a church is beautiful it is because it is stunning. This is part one of the Chiaroscuro Renaissance painting.

The church is lit in such a way that the darks are almost midnight black and the lights are like a ray of sunshine that God sends towards the bride and groom. Besides the fact that it is dripping with beautiful detail and its immense size is reminiscent of Roman Catholic churches in Europe.
When you step into the church your whispers almost Echo. The light shines where the bride and groom stand and so they look angelic. Exactly like a Renaissance painting. Saint Dennis Catholic Church is the perfect place for a Catholic wedding. It has always been my favorite and will always remain my favorite.

After the ceremony we took family portraits and pictures of the bride and groom and the bride with her bridesmaids and the groom with his groomsmen. They were all so fun and beautiful and so easy to photograph.

 

This wedding venue in Chino Hills is an absolute dream come true. The light dances there like magic. the actual estate is stunning with pillars and architectural details such as large arches and warm Stone. The walkway to the front entrance is flanked by big beautiful trees. Exactly as an estate should be. But even more beautiful than the actual estate was the large natural tall grass field behind Wedgewood  Vellano Estate. As you can see from the photos I took the bride and groom there right about sunset. That is something that I do for my couples, is I help them make a schedule for their day so that we can take the most beautiful photographs at the right time of day. We set out with only 15 minutes of sunlight left in the sky so you can only imagine how gorgeous the sky looked dripping in the blues and pinks.

 

To this day they are still some of my favorites.
During the reception there were some beautiful speeches made, tears were shed and laughter was had.
We had a great time in the ballroom taking photographs of the bride and groom.
