Noah and I had a great time shooting Evelyn’s beautiful and unique Quinceañera! We started the day at her parent’s Veronica and Martin’s home, where she had her hair and makeup done. Once she was ready it was time to put on her gorgeous and gigantic red and gold quinceanera dress, with the help of her mom Veronica. They attached her extravagant and bejeweled cap and adorned her stunning tiara. She put her shoes on and showed the rest of her family how beautiful she looked. Once everyone was ready we headed off to the church.
San Antonio De Pauda church is nestled in a city very close to my heart, Anaheim. Yes, Anaheim is also the home of the world-famous Disney Land but it’s also the center for so much diversity, culture, delicious food, and where I lived for many years. The church truly looks like a mission and is full of culture, beauty, and history. Evelyn’s guests trickled in once it was time and Evelyn, her chambelanes, and her parents walked towards the altar. The ceremony took about 30 minutes and was a full Catholic Quinceanera ceremony entirely in Spanish. After the ceremony, We took family photos and photos with her friends, inside and outside of the church.
After the first round of photos, we headed to the beautiful Anaheim Hills Golf Course where a gorgeous setting awaited us. We took stunning photos of Evelyn with her friends, and family, and finally got to take some fine art portraits of just her, which came out beautifully. With much excitement, we took Evelyn and the court around Anaheim Hills Golf Course and photographed them having some fun. Evelyn looked stunning in her huge red and gold ball gown crowned in gold and red gems. I know I’m an amazing photographer but it definitely helps when my clients are as beautiful as Evelyn is. Once we explored the Anaheim Hills Golf Course and took more beautiful photos it was time to head inside for the party to begin! The hall was dripping in Gold and Red with a little pink and green. The candy table was a crown of gold and the desserts looked like artwork. Evelyn had gold and red balloon arches and roses absolutely everywhere. Her cake had the letter “E” on it and had icing flowers as well as real flowers all along the edges. Once she did her grand entrance she sat on a gold throne with her court. Lots of friends and family arrived for drinking and merriment. When the reception part of the day arrived they started with dances, and one of the dances even had Evelyn playing the trumpet. It was pretty awesome! She danced with her dad who wore a gold suit jacket to match her and it was so cute. There were sweet speeches, lots of dancing and lots of photos! Let me know what you thought of the gorgeous scenery and photos.
